Not in My City (« Pas dans ma ville »)
YZF est fier de faire équipe avec Not In My City (Pas dans ma ville), un mouvement national visant à mettre fin à l’exploitation sexuelle et à la traite des personnes au Canada.
Fondé en juillet 2017 et soutenu par l’artiste country Paul Brandt, Not In My City est un organisme œuvrant dans divers secteurs, comme le transport et l’hôtellerie, pour sensibiliser le public et l'inciter à agir contre la traite des êtres humains.
La traite des êtres humains représente l’un des crimes dont la croissance est la plus rapide au Canada. Fait inquiétant, 93 % des victimes signalées sont des citoyens canadiens dont la traite s’effectue au pays même. À l’échelle mondiale, 98 % des victimes du commerce des êtres humains sont des femmes et des filles, et au Canada, 26 % des victimes ont moins de 18 ans. Quant aux personnes autochtones, qui ne représentent que 4 % de la population, elles constituent plus de 50 % des victimes de la traite d’êtres humains au pays.
Conçue par l’artiste canadien Paul Hardy, la rose jaune est devenue un symbole puissant du mouvement. En portant ou en exposant cette rose, nous affichons au grand jour notre soutien et notre solidarité envers les survivants, et nous nous engageons à dire Not In My City (« Pas dans ma ville »).

Ces adorables compagnons à quatre pattes sont là pour aider à combattre le stress et apporter de la joie aux voyageurs avant leur vol. 🐾 Arrêtez-vous le temps d’un câlin canin pour faire le plein de sérénité avant le décollage!
Comment reconnaître une équipe de chiens de thérapie d’Ambulance Saint-Jean?
- Repérez l’écharpe rouge et noir d’Ambulance Saint-Jean portée par les chiens de thérapie.
- Repérez la chemise rouge et noir portée par les bénévoles qui s’occupent des chiens de thérapie.
- En cas de doute, demandez : « Faites-vous partie de l’équipe de thérapie canine d’Ambulance Saint-Jean?
Ces chiens de thérapie ont reçu une formation spéciale. Leurs maîtres sont des bénévoles. Ensemble, ils donnent de leur temps pour faire sourire et atténuer le stress du voyage. Au départ ou à l’arrivée, prenez un instant pour leur dire bonjour et profitez de la tendresse de ces compagnons à quatre pattes.

Ambassadeurs de l’Arctique
Parrainés par la Société des aînés des TNO, les ambassadeurs de l’Arctique accueillent en souriant les voyageurs à l’aéroport de Yellowknife et leur offrent des conseils utiles et des renseignements sur la région. Ces bénévoles dévoués offrent de l’information sur Yellowknife et les Territoires du Nord-Ouest, répondent aux demandes de renseignements sur l’aéroport et sur les voyages. Leur présence amicale facilite chaque arrivée ou départ.
Vous trouverez les ambassadeurs de l’Arctique dans leur tenue officielle autour de l’aérogare. Ils seront toujours heureux de vous aider!

Become a Flight Buddy
Help the NWT SPCA give animals a second chance by becoming a Flight Buddy.
Through the Flight Buddy Program, travellers can assist by registering their upcoming flights. The NWT SPCA regularly transports puppies and dogs to their forever homes, foster families, adopters, and partner shelters. By matching travel itineraries with animal transport needs, Flight Buddies play an important role in helping animals reach their destinations safely.
How to Register Your Travel Plans
Simply provide your upcoming travel details to the NWT SPCA. If your itinerary matches the transportation needs of an animal in their care, they will contact you with more information.
Stay Informed
Be sure to subscribe for notifications about urgent travel needs. When unexpected transportation requirements arise and a Flight Buddy has not yet been found, the NWT SPCA sends email alerts to registered subscribers seeking assistance.

Founded in July 2017 and championed by Canadian country artist Paul Brandt, #NotInMyCity is a facilitative organization that works across industries—such as transportation and hospitality—to raise awareness and inspire action against human trafficking.
Human trafficking is one of the fastest-growing crimes in Canada. Alarmingly, 93% of reported victims are Canadian citizens trafficked within our borders. Globally, 98% of sex trafficking victims are women and girls, and in Canada, 26% are under the age of 18. Indigenous Peoples—while making up only 4% of the population—account for over 50% of all human trafficking victims in the country.
The yellow rose, designed by Canadian artist Paul Hardy, has become a powerful symbol of the movement. Wearing or displaying the rose is a visible sign of support and solidarity with survivors and a commitment to say #NotInMyCity.

How to identify a SJA Therapy Dog Team:
- Look for the red and black SJA scarf worn by the Therapy Dogs.
- Look for the black and red SJA shirt worn by the Therapy Dog Volunteers.
- If in doubt ask, “are you and your dog a St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Team?”
These specially trained therapy dogs and their handlers volunteer their time to bring smiles and ease the stress of travel. Whether you’re arriving or departing, take a moment so say hello and enjoy a little four-legged companionship.

The Arctic Ambassadors, sponsored by the NWT Seniors Society, greet travellers to Yellowknife with warm smiles, helpful advice, and local insights. These dedicated volunteers provide visitor information about Yellowknife and the Northwest Territories, assist with airport inquiries and travel-related questions, and offer a friendly presence to make each arrival or departure smoother.
